American Icon, James Earl Jones won an Academy Award (Oscar) for his lifetime achievements.
The 80 year old actor was completely caught off guard and said he was "plain gobsmacked" as he accepted the award in London.
Jones is well known for his role (well, his voice) as Darth Vador in the Star Wars Series as well as, other voice roles including Mufasa in the 1994 animated Disney film. The Lion King. He was also known as the villain Thulsa Doom in Conan the Barbarian and as King Jaffe Joffer in the comedy Coming to America.
Jones has graced other movies such as: The Hunt for Red October, Clear and Present Danger, and Field of Dreams.
Currently, James Earl Jones is starring opposite Vanessa Redgrave in Driving Miss Daisy in London.
